They use selected materials to make their products, their furnitures are well designed and extremely comfortable. Maruni has some hot designers including Naoto Fukasawa, Jasper Morrison and SANNA, the series made by them are gathering a lot of attention.

MARUNI60 Walnut Frame Kinomama 1 Sitter

This is Kinomama Series, it makes full use of wood's natural knots and color spots. Its frame is made of walnut, which is used in luxury furniture and well known by its beautiful wood grain, and the fabric is selected the Maruni's owner himself. In the series, the oil leather is made by Sanyo Leather.

MARUNI COLLECTION HIROSHIMA Arm chair

This is a fantastic chair from Maruni Collection, it is designed by Naoto Fukasawa, its beautiful form is made of beech. One of its seat lineups is veg-tanned leather. The leather is not coated, thus you can enjoy the scars and spots of leather, and also its ageing process.

COMMENT

Among all the tanneries in Japan, Sanyo Leather's steady quality and long history make it a reassuring company to develop a long term relationship. The vegetable tanned leather is rare because it uses selected hide and has a long and difficult production process. But Sanyo Leather can stably supply very high quality vegetable tanned leather. To us, this is very attractive.

COMMENT

While selecting the material, we showed them leather made from different tanning methods. Among them, Maruni also felt the fascination of expensive but rare vegetable tanned leather, and finally chose them.
